1. Engine:

Due to the low temperature in winter, it will cause the thickening and solidification of diesel oil (commonly known as frozen oil). Therefore, the selection of winter engine diesel is mainly based on the freezing point to determine the label.

In order to prevent the problem of freezing oil during the use of the crane, delaying time and causing risks and economic losses, the following diesel oil should be selected according to the temperature in winter:

It is best to use 5# diesel when the temperature is ≥8℃;

It is best to use 0# diesel when the temperature is 4℃~8℃;

It is best to use -10# diesel when the temperature is between -5℃~4℃;

It is best to use -20# diesel when the temperature is between -14℃~-5℃;

It is best to use -35# diesel when the temperature is between -29℃~-14℃;

It is best to use -50# diesel when the temperature is between -44℃~-29℃.

2. Coolant selection:

In winter, the temperature is low, and the solidification of the coolant will cause the engine cylinder block to burst and cause damage to the vehicle. To prevent the solidification of the coolant due to the temperature, you can choose the coolant labeled HEC'-Ⅱ-45 at a temperature of ≥-20℃ When used.

3. Engine oil:
In winter, the temperature is low, and the oil will thicken at low temperatures, which will not only affect the starting of the vehicle, but also increase the wear of the parts, and the damage to the engine is obvious. In winter, it is recommended that the crane oil should be 5W-30 marked oil.

4. Hydraulic oil:

Hydraulic oil is a hydraulic medium used in a hydraulic system that uses liquid pressure energy. It plays a role in energy transfer, anti-wear, system lubrication, anti-corrosion, anti-rust, and cooling in the hydraulic system.

The low temperature in winter has an effect on the viscosity of hydraulic oil. You can change the antifreeze hydraulic oil before the weather cools down. The temperature of the hydraulic oil in the hydraulic system during work mainly puts forward requirements for the viscosity and thermal stability of the hydraulic oil. It is recommended to use low-temperature resistant hydraulic oil marked HS-46 for small cranes in winter.

5. Install cold start auxiliary device:

The device is added to the crane engine cylinder block heater, and its working method is to first release the original coolant, and then add the winter special label coolant, and then heat it, without removing the cylinder block heater after heating.

Finally, the Kebu spider crane comes with an engine preheating option. When starting the vehicle, turn the key switch to the preheating position, and then start the crane after preheating. If the temperature is low and the engine cannot be activated, it can heat the lower half of the crankcase, also known as the lower crankcase or the oil pan.
